On Saturday 12th November, Otters ASC coordinated a Conference at Grand Hotel in Mgarr Gozo with the theme “Volunteering in Sports”.
The panel was chaired by well known athlete Mr Nathan Farrugia who also delivered a speech about Inspiring Volunteers in Sport.
The second speaker was the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations, Mr Jes Saliba who spoke about the Impact of Volunteering. The third speaker, was the Malta Olympic Secretary, Mr Kevin Azzopardi. His address dealt with the value of Sports in our Community. Later, the three speakers together with Mr Noel Xerri Chief Executive of the OASI Foundation, Sports Psychologist Dr Adele Muscat, Swimming Coach Ms Isabelle Zarb, Ms Mariella Micallef and Mr James Borg narrated their experiences in Volunteering!
