Otters Aquatic Sports Club are proud to announce that Mr Anthony Farrugia has been appointed the Club’s Juniors Coach for 2023.
Mr Farrugia will be mainly responsible for all the Otters’ Junior teams. However he will also train and coach the Senior Team for the Winter League and will monitor the up and coming talent within the BMIT Swimming and Waterpolo School.
Anthony Farrugia was already in charge of the Otters Junior teams during 2022 and the Under 15s won Section B while the U13s placed runners up in Section B.
2022 was a fantastic year for Anthony: he was voted Coach of the Year in the Malta Sports Awards; he led the Malta Under 16 team to 12th place (out of 25 teams) in the FINA World Under 16 Championships held in Greece in July, a team which included our Luigi Dimech; and his Malta Under 19 team placed 10th (out of 16 teams) in the European Championship finals held in Montenegro in September.
